In many activities to be done in Rubavu District, Nyamyumba sector in 2013, the main one will be done in the economic sector with an aim of helping the residents achieve development.
This was said by the secretary of the sector’s partners Tryphone Murekatete who added on saying that “activities related to the economy were to be given the first place if at all the residents were to be helped in the struggle to development”.
“These activities will therefore be given a 70percent of the budget of the sector and then governance will be second with a 20percent,”added Murekatete “This sector which was very much affected by natural calamities last year 2012 will again look at different things that may lead to such and therefore find ways of preventing them, said the executive secretary of the sector”, Martín Habimana.
He added on saying that “among the many things to be done to deal with such issues was digging terraces in the area, and on the economic side, they were going to construct roads and also make sure that electricity is supplied in the whole area for residents to have a proper way of living.
This area near L.Kivu needs to improve on tourism and fishing which will all help it achieve development.
