While the government of Rwanda is sensitizing residents to create jobs, Marie God Uwizeyimana who started selling bread with Rwf1000 capital and has achieved social development.
Uwizeyimana is a resident of Rubaya cell, Mukamira sector in Nyabihu district. One of the things achieved include land and livestock due to hard work and valuing the job.
After saving between Rwf15 and 20 that he could save from a packet of bread, she kept purchasing two, three and more packets until she made a bread supply store.
Uwizeyimana who has been in this business for ten years, she is able to pay school fees for more than two children, pay her farm workers, feed the livestock and take care of the family needs.
She adds that her secret is maximizing the little she has, working hard and the way she treats her customers because they are the key to development.
One customer brings the other, the second one brings another and the cycle continues like that, she narrates.
Uwizeyimana advises fellow poor women to value every job, respect every customer and be creative to attract customers.
