The vice mayor for finance and economic development Odette Uwitonze who was the guest of honour in this function asked the youth to make use of what they were taught and start creating jobs.
The mayor also told the graduating youth that there are many services required for the development of Gakenke district that they should start working on. The examples the mayor cited included hair styling salons that lack in this town and ladies first go to Musanze town for such services.
Most of the youth who attended this training say it was influential in their lives. This is especially so because the youth learnt how to make and prepare feasible projects that can attract loans from financial institutions as well as using ICT to market their products.
“I can now prepare a feasible project for myself and for financial reasons; that is to say I can work as a project consultant” boosts Eularie Umwari one of the graduates.
Jean de Dieu Niyibizi the president of ‘Twihangira umurimo’ cooperative says he can now market his produce through ICT thanks to this training.
